Bristol Primary Computing Network Is Back And Better Than Ever!!!

Fri 04 September, 2015

Last year over fifty different teachers from around the Bristol area came to one or more of the three Bristol Primary Computing Network events. Each event looked at different parts of the computing curriculum and saw ideas shared, inspiration given out and teachers sharing for the better of all their schools.

Each of last year's events was well attended and recieved hugely postive feedback. This feedback went into making each event better than the last. The event is back again this year and it will be bigger and better than ever!

As the event was such a success last year, this year we are able to confirm all three dates for the events at once and we have more spaces for attendees. The dates are as follows:

Event One: Friday 9th October

Event Two: Tuesday 12th January

Event Three: Tuesday 19th April

This means you only need to sign up once for all the events and you can save even more money by booking them all at the same time.

We will confirm the finer details of each event closer to the dates, but the schedule for the first day will be:

9.00 - 9.30 - Arrive, breakfast rolls and meet other teachers.

9.30 - 10.45 - Session 1: Programming: How to avoid death by Scratch

10.45 - 11.00 - Coffee Break

11.00 - 12.00 - Session 2: Implementing Tablets: What to do and what not to do

12.00 - 13.00 - Hot Buffet Lunch and Networking

13.00 - 14.00 Session 3: Computing and Maths: Squaring the difficult Circle

14.00 - 15.00 Session 4: Subject to be set by attendee feedback

15.00 - Leave

The event takes place at Engineers House, BS8 3NB, Bristol

Each Event costs £40 per attendee, or £105 if you book all three at the same time - This cost includes breakfast rolls, refreshments and a hut buffet lunch and all resources needed for the day!
