Soft Egg has an ‘in-house’ installations team, whom can install projectors in varying locations. Every projector has what is known as a throw distance. The throw distance of the projector will determine the size of the projected image from a specific distance.
The exact throw distance varies from projector to projector due to differences in optics.
Traditionally projectors are installed on the ceiling. Mounted at the required distance back from the screen or interactive white board to produce an image to fit the display. Technology has now produced lenses which allow projectors to be mounted closer and further away from the display.
Short Throw Projectors
Short throw projectors have ultra-short throw lenses which can project an image of up to 2.5m in diagonal from a distance of just 1.3m. Many short throw projectors also have integrated amplifiers and sound systems. Ideal for wall mounting, short throw projectors, minimise installation costs and complete the interactive classroom along with your interactive white board.
Ceiling Mounted Projectors
Long throw projectors can project an image up to over 100ft away from the screen/display. Long throw projectors can be ideally placed in halls. The projector can be located on the far wall and still create an image to fit the desired space. This projector is ideal in areas where sport also takes place, as there are minimal ceiling and wall fixings. |
