Typically most contracts, whether though a commercial company or a borough provision, offer response only support. This can be simply someone to call out on an hourly rate or a retainer service where you buy a “bank of days” and call them off as you need them.
Both the call out and bank of days principles are focussed on the word “support”. Simply, you make a call when you have a problem or when you need something doing.
The problem is that either way the hourly rate can soon clock up or your bank of days start to dwindle. One is an uncapped expense, the other a finite resource. Either way there is only one certainty: when you pick that phone up for “support” it’s going to cost. Ultimately this simple fact encourages you NOT to call unless you feel it absolutely essential.

At the beginning of your contract we book up your visits (typically 4 hours every two weeks) with the same engineer for the year or term depending on how long you sign up for.
With regular onsite visits, the printer that you would not dream of raising a support call for is fixed right away, your server has had the important updates you did not know were needed and the virus that made your network run slowly has been removed. |
